* My company tends to use Slack as the main communication channel. Since I use Slack each day, I reduced friction on updating the brag doc by creating a slack channel called "karthiks-hype-channel", invite a sr engineer to the channel (to make the messages retain longer compared to DMs). Everytime I want to highlight an update, I dump it in the hype channel. Thanks Jordan for this idea :)
* 100% agree with documenting mentorship, interviewing/hiring as part of impact. I also mentored a few interns last summer and documenting the testimonials from the interns helps make your story pop and helps your manager put themselves in your shoes (especially if your intern got a return offer)
